A Grand Farewell

Our family was shocked upon the loss of Nana last week (June 1, 2009). After a courageous battle with cancer and various other health issues, Jane E. Merritt passed away. Her death has left a large hole in our lives, especially the lives of her Grands.

The only good part of last week was the ability for the Grands to spend some time together. We don't often get the chance to see the Trudeau girls, and Jameson loved spending time with Hadley.

They threw pennies in the fountain at the hospital, the day before Nana's death; wishing she would get better.

And they were both quite helpful in cleaning the house. Leave it to Jamo to vacumn in his underwear. As you can see, Hadley mostly served in a supervisory capacity.

And here's Hadley, reading one of Nana's little books.

All four of Nana's Grands are a tribute to her. They are truly Jane's legacy. May God help the Grand parents to raise them in His image, and to glorify His name...and Nana's memory.
